Shipping Information

All orders of ready-for-delivery items will be processed within 2 working days (excluding weekends and holidays) from receipt of the order confirmation email. Items NOT ready for delivery will be processed and shipped according to processing times stated in the product description or agreed upon exclusively via email. When we ship the order, you will receive a notification.

Free collection in store

You can collect your purchases directly at our Castorina shop in Via Santo Spirito 15/r in Florence, Italy with no shipping cost applied. After you have placed an order and selected “store pickup” at check-out, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 2 working days.

When your order is ready, you will receive an email with instructions. Our in-store pickup times are 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm from Monday to Friday. Make sure you have your confirmation email when you come to the store to collect your order.

In-store pickup is available only for orders placed from Italy. If you are placing an order from abroad but will be in Italy and/or wish to collect your order for free in the store, contact us by email before placing your purchase order.

National shipping (Italy)

Shipping to Italy via Bartolini express courier.

Delivery times: 24/48 hours plus processing.

Shipping rates vary according to weight and will be calculated and displayed at check-out.

All shipping rates displayed at check-out include VAT.

International shipping

We offer international shipping to the following countries (if your country is not included in the list below, please contact us for any shipping options):

Shipping rates vary by weight. The shipping rates for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Shipping to an EU Country (packages up to 30kg in weight)
You can choose between 2 different options that will be shown to you at checkout:

  • By land via Bartolini express courier delivered in 48/72 hours (excluding holidays);
  • By air with FEDEX express courier delivered in 48/72 hours.

Shipping to an EU Country (packages over 30kg in weight)

  • Packages weighing 50kg or more will be sent exclusively via FEDEX by air and delivered in 48/72 hours.

Shipping to a non-EU country

  • To all non-Eu countries, packages will be shipped via FEDEX by air and delivered in 2/5 working days in most countries.



It is always possible to add the shipping insurance option, which protects your order in case of damage or loss during shipping. You can select the insurance option at checkout.

Please note: insurance is always mandatory in case of purchases of a value equal to or greater than 500 euros.

Import Taxes and Custom Duties

Castorina 1895 is not responsible for further charges relating to import taxes and customs duties, which are the exclusive responsibility of the buyer.

Items are not subject to any import tax or customs fees if sold and delivered within the European Union (to an EU Country). In the case of deliveries to countries outside the European Union, items may be subject to import taxes and/or customs duties depending on the type of item and the country of destination.

It is impossible to predict in any way if there will be fees for the customs clearance of the items. For more information, you can contact the customs office in your country. Any cost related to import taxes and/or customs duties will be paid by the customer.

Shipping to PO boxes

It is not possible to ship to post office boxes.


We do our best to protect our items during shipping, and our packaging is appropriate for each item.

Gift packaging is available on request (request that a gift package is required in the order notes).
